Fr. Guy is a member of the Dehonian’s community in northern Mississippi. He assists with parish ministry, and at the two schools operated by Sacred Heart Southern Missions. He has served in parish ministry in Canada and the United States. Fr. Guy is also passionate ministering to the homeless.
“I have learned from the deaf community that ‘less is more’ in the Mass,” said Fr. Guy. “It isn’t only music, intrusive lighting, over-abundant floral and candle arrangements which detract from the central event of signing in the deaf liturgy. It is also our hearing culture’s love of repetition, long and ‘wordy’ prayers, references to novels, movies, and literature.”

Lewis, J.R.R. Tolkien. Here we will discover how faith and reason shape the imaginative power of literature.

Pier Giorgio Frassati Canonization
The Holy Father will canonize Pier Giorgio Frassati during the Closing Mass for the Jubilee of Young People in Rome on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Pope Francis made the announcement on November 20, 2024, saying, "Next year, during the Jubilee of Adolescents, I will canonize Blessed Carlo Acutis and in the Jubilee of Young People, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati." Details about the canonization are still pending. In the meantime, please check out the USCCB web page for Frassati
Jubilee Mini Pilgrimage and Mass
All young adults are invited to our Archdiocesan Jubilee Mass and Mini-Pilgrimage! Join us on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9:00 am to 1 pm. We’ll meet at St. Joseph Church (1505 Kane St, Houston) for Mass at 9 am with Bishop Italo Dell’Oro, CRS. Then, we’ll walk 5 miles on the Bayou Trail near Memorial Drive.
