Come and attend this lecture to be given by Dr Michael Ward Ph.D. from Baylor University! With the use of reason, through Philosophy, Dr. Ward will explore the age old question, “Whether God exists?” and how one can come to know the “existence” of God. This lecture is free and open to the public.
Speaker bio: Dr. Thomas Ward is a philosophy professor at Baylor University. His research focuses on the history of philosophy, especially in the Middle Ages. He is the author or translator of several books, including After Stoicism, Ordered by Love, Divine Ideas, and Treatise on the First Principle.

Fr. Guy is a member of the Dehonian’s community in northern Mississippi. He assists with parish ministry, and at the two schools operated by Sacred Heart Southern Missions. He has served in parish ministry in Canada and the United States. Fr. Guy is also passionate ministering to the homeless.
“I have learned from the deaf community that ‘less is more’ in the Mass,” said Fr. Guy. “It isn’t only music, intrusive lighting, over-abundant floral and candle arrangements which detract from the central event of signing in the deaf liturgy. It is also our hearing culture’s love of repetition, long and ‘wordy’ prayers, references to novels, movies, and literature.”
Pier Giorgio Frassati Canonization
The Holy Father will canonize Pier Giorgio Frassati during the Closing Mass for the Jubilee of Young People in Rome on Sunday, August 3, 2025. Pope Francis made the announcement on November 20, 2024, saying, "Next year, during the Jubilee of Adolescents, I will canonize Blessed Carlo Acutis and in the Jubilee of Young People, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati." Young Adult Jubilee Mass and Mini-Pilgrimage
St. Joseph Catholic Church
All Young Adults (ages 18-39) are invited to join us for a mini-pilgrimage walk on Saturday, April 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. We will meet at St. Joseph Church (1505 Kane St, Houston) and begin with Mass with Auxiliary Bishop Italo Dell’Oro, CRS. From there, we will walk together approximately 5 miles on the Bayou Trail near Memorial Drive. Please bring a water bottle (filled with water) and a lunch to eat at end of walk.
