- Our on-campus Masses were held on Wednesdays at noon Mass at the Student Center South in the Fall semester as well as our Ash Wednesday Mass in the Spring semester. It was a blessing to see new and familiar faces during those Masses.
- Fall, Spring and Summer Graduation Masses saw an increase in the number of graduating students in attendance, including our student officers and leaders.
- During the annual UH Family Weekend in September, we celebrated Mass with Dcn David Persich who has been assigned to assist with our RCIA formation program. This coming Fall 2024, we are preparing a special Mass on September 29, 2024. Please be on the lookout for the announcement.
- Our Alumni Mass of Thanksgiving last November was attended by long-time and recent graduates including their family. We continue to pursue opportunities to establish stronger ties with our Alumni.
- During Easter 2024, we welcomed 4 Catechumens and 5 Candidates to our Church. Dr. Michele Sabino and Dcn Steve Klak are also our regular volunteers including students from the previous year’s RCIA program. We are grateful for their time and commitment to this ministry.
- In Spring semester, we partnered with Saint Paul’s Outreach (SPO) who conducted the retreat for 50 students, a 60% increase in attendance from the previous year. The retreat culminated with a Mass with Bishop Italo Dell'Oro, CRS.
- Just before the semester ended, a new tabernacle was donated by Mr. Nicholas Simon, also one of our Alumni. We took this opportunity to bless the tabernacle, and liturgical items donated last Fall semester (chalice, ciborium and cross). We hope you can drop by to see these beautiful handiwork.
Overall, we witnessed increased participation of our UH Catholic students during our Noon Mass; as new small group leaders and new students undergoing our evangelization training "ReachMore", small group participation and weekly Lunch and Learn formation, community nights and service opportunities. We believe that this strong participation is a combination of prayer, resources poured during our fruitful Weeks of Welcome during the Fall semester and the unwavering commitment of our student leaders and volunteers and generous donors. God is indeed faithful as He continually surprised us with financial support and resources at opportune times!
